The Middle East has long been engulfed in flames of war, and the conflict between Israel and Iran has intensified the situation. For over 48 intense hours, both countries have been exchanging a barrage of missiles. Amidst this escalating tension, Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump engaged in a critical phone call.

According to Yuri Ushakov, a Kremlin official, Putin and Trump conversed for 50 minutes. This productive exchange delved into the dangerous impact of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran on the Middle East.

Ushakov revealed that during the discussion, Putin shared details of his dialogs with the leaders of Israel and Iran. He condemned Israel's military operations against Iran, expressing deep concern that the resulting tension could engulf the entire Middle East.

Emphasizing the importance of preventing the escalation of this conflict, Putin expressed Russia's willingness to be involved in potential mediation efforts. Trump also acknowledged the concerning nature of the situation, insisting that Iran must return to the negotiation table, with a team of U.S. negotiators prepared to engage with Iranian representatives.

During the exchange, Putin briefed Trump on the consensus reached in Istanbul on June 2 between Russian and Ukrainian representatives, while also expressing a desire to resume discussions with Ukraine after June 22.

Both Israel and Iran are unleashing their full military capabilities against each other. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) report that Iran fired more than 80 ballistic missiles overnight, with around 40 targeting northern Israel. In these attacks, ten Israeli citizens have reportedly been killed, while 200 are injured, and seven remain missing.

Similarly, Israel's offensive against Iran claims the lives of six top Iranian military generals. Israel has advised Iranian civilians to evacuate military zones, as the Israeli army targets missile storage and launch platforms in western Iran.

In the past 48 hours, over 130 people have reportedly died due to Israel's strikes on Iran, including nearly nine nuclear scientists and several prominent Iranian commanders. The number of injured is reported to exceed 300. In response to Israel's relentless attacks, Iran has activated its air defense systems across various states.
