Heavy bombardment between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah continues. On Monday morning, Israel conducted airstrikes on residential areas in Beirut, Lebanon’s capital. A missile targeted a multi-story residential building in the Cola area, killing at least 4 people and injuring many others. Additionally, the IDF claimed to have killed Hamas's Lebanon chief, Fatah Sheriff. A Lebanese army soldier also lost his life in the strikes.

The IDF reported that Fatah Sheriff, head of Hamas's Lebanon branch, was killed in a precise airstrike by the Air Force. He was involved in coordinating terrorist activities with Hezbollah fighters and overseeing recruitment and weapons supply. Sheriff was a recognized member of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency and headed the teachers' union in Lebanon.

Local media reported that this was the first time in nearly a year of conflict that Israel bombed central residential areas of Beirut. Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, stated that diplomacy is their only option to stop Israel’s continued attacks. In a statement, he said, “We will not hesitate for a moment to consider the role of diplomacy. We have no option other than diplomatic solutions, and we are working swiftly in this regard.”

Lebanon’s Prime Minister also revealed that over a million people have been displaced across the country due to Israel's ongoing airstrikes, marking the largest displacement event thus far. Lebanon’s Health Ministry confirmed that more than 50 people died in Israeli airstrikes on Sunday, with the highest casualties in Sidon, where two buildings were targeted.

In addition, following the attacks on Hezbollah positions in Lebanon, Israel has now targeted Houthi rebels in Yemen. Israeli fighter jets struck ports used for oil imports and power plants in Yemen. The Israeli military claims the targeted ports and infrastructure were used to facilitate the transport of Iranian weapons.

The strikes occurred in the Ras Issa and Hodeidah regions in Yemen, reportedly killing at least 4 people and injuring several others. According to Reuters, this attack is believed to be retaliation for a missile attack by Houthi rebels on Sunday. The Houthi attack targeted Tel Aviv, prompting sirens across central Israel, including at the Tel Aviv International Airport.
