Iran has imposed a ban on the use of pagers and walkie-talkies on all its flights. Besides mobiles, no electronic devices are permitted on Iran's flights. They are also prohibited in flight cabins and cargo. This was revealed by Zafar Yazarlo, a spokesperson for Iran's Civil Aviation Organization.

The pager attack in Lebanon claimed 39 lives, injuring around 3,000 people. The next day, explosions involving walkie-talkies resulted in the deaths of several Hezbollah fighters, while many were gravely injured and are still receiving treatment. Meanwhile, the United Nations has issued a warning of a significant conflict poised between Israel, Hezbollah, and Hamas.

There is a suggestion that an Israeli attack could coincide with the new year festival, Yom Kippur.
