An engaging video of IPS officer DSP Anjana Krishna is making the rounds on social media. In this clip, you can see IPS Anjana being confronted by Maharashtra's Deputy CM and NCP Chief Ajit Pawar. Anjana was in Kurdu village, Solapur district, to investigate illegal murum mining.

What transpired between Ajit Pawar and the IPS on the phone?

During the on-ground action portrayed in the viral video, a debate ensued between the villagers and the police team. During this, NCP worker Baba Jagtap called Deputy CM Ajit Pawar directly, who in turn asked to speak to the IPS officer. On the call, Ajit Pawar is heard instructing, 'I order you to stop and inform the Tehsildar Ajit Pawar called.' The officer replied, 'You can contact me directly on my phone.' As the video spreads, people are eager to learn more about this distinguished IPS. Let's explore her journey.

Her journey towards UPSC after graduation

According to media reports, Anjana completed her initial education at St. Mary's Central School Poojappura. She later graduated with a BSc in Mathematics from HHMSPB NSS College for Women, Neeramankara, Thiruvananthapuram. Inspired during her 12th grade, she aspired to be an IPS officer and started preparing for UPSC after graduation. Various reports indicate that Malayalam literature was her optional subject for the UPSC, which she conducted in the English medium.

Achieving a commendable 355 rank in UPSC

Anjali Krishna hails from the captivating state of Kerala. She successfully passed the UPSC exam in 2022. As a part of the 2022-23 UPSC Civil Services batch, she is currently posted as a Police Deputy Superintendent (DSP) at Karmala, Solapur. Anjana's mother works as a typist in court, and her father runs a cotton business. Remarkably, Anjana has also interned as a news reporter for a leading Malayalam daily. Achieving an all-India ranking of 355 in the UPSC Civil Services Exam, she is celebrated for her honesty, determination, and outstanding administrative acumen.
