IPL 2025 Retention Players List:
Before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, a mega auction is scheduled. This auction might take place either in late November or early December this year. However, before that, all 10 franchises must prepare their lists of retained and released players. The deadline for this is tomorrow (October 31), coinciding with the festival of Diwali.
Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced new retention rules. According to these guidelines, a franchise can retain a maximum of six players. If a team retains fewer than six players, it can utilize the 'Right to Match' card during the auction.
Speculations have already begun before the official list of retained players is revealed. Reports suggest that Gujarat Titans (GT) may release Mohammed Shami, and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain KL Rahul might enter the auction pool. Let's explore which players the 10 franchises might retain...
