A major revelation has emerged in the investigation of the horrific explosion near Delhi's Red Fort on November 10. Late Wednesday, police and the forensic team confirmed that the person found in the explosive-laden Hyundai i20 car was none other than terrorist Dr. Umar Nabi (Umar Mohammad). The DNA test of the charred body recovered from the car's debris matched 100% with samples from Umar's family members. This clearly verifies that Umar was indeed responsible for the Delhi car blast, which resulted in 12 deaths and injured 20 others.
From the onset, investigation agencies suspected that the attacker was Dr. Umar, who had purchased the white Hyundai i20 car used in the attack just 11 days prior. He was a key member of the white-collar terror module of Faridabad and was on the run. Delhi Police’s Special Cell interrogated Umar’s family, including his mother and brother who provided DNA samples that matched the remains (bones, teeth, pieces of clothing) found in the car wreckage. This confirmed that Umar was driving the car.

Umar Detonated Himself with the i20
Panic-stricken by the pressure from security agencies, Umar hastily detonated himself along with the car. According to sources, the family was aware of Umar's radicalization but did not inform the security agencies. He was in constant contact with his handler 'UKasa' (a probable codename) in Ankara, Turkey, through the Session app. It's suspected that Umar and other suspects arrested in connection with the Faridabad terror module were among those who traveled to Ankara from India in March 2022, during which they were brainwashed. The National Investigation Agency is in touch with the Turkish Embassy in New Delhi and seeking cooperation for confirmation.
Central Government Declares Delhi Blast a 'Terrorist Attack'
In a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, the government officially declared the Delhi car blast as a 'terrorist attack'. The NIA has been tasked with the investigation. This is a sensational case of the 'white-collar terror module', involving people from respectable professions such as doctors and educated youths. The trail of arrests in this case extends from Jammu and Kashmir to Uttar Pradesh, and connections point to the Pakistan-based group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

Route Traced: i20 Spotted Across Delhi
Through scrutiny of CCTV footage by investigative teams, it was found that the i20 car used in the Delhi blast was seen outside Al-Falah University in Faridabad at around 7:30 AM on the morning of November 10. By 8:04 AM, the car had entered Delhi from the Badarpur border and was spotted in Okhla Industrial Area and Mayur Vihar via CCTV cameras. Dr. Umar was driving the car and wore a black mask. The car roamed in central Delhi during the afternoon and was looping around Connaught Place by 2:30 PM.
Before the Blast, Car Parked at Sunheri Masjid
On the day of the blast, after 3:15 PM, the i20 car was parked near Sunheri Masjid in Chandni Chowk for approximately 3 hours. CCTV footage reveals that the driver remained inside the car from 3:19 PM to 6:25 PM in the mosque's parking area. Just moments before the explosion, the car turned towards Chandni Chowk-Red Fort Corridor, took a U-turn near the historic Mughal monument, and stopped at gate number 1 of the Red Fort metro station on Subhash Marg. The car exploded at 6:52 PM. Officials are examining over 1,000 CCTV cameras across the route to ascertain if anyone else entered or exited the car.
