A court in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has issued an arrest warrant against Akshay Kanti Bam and four others in connection with an attempted murder case. The individuals are required to appear in court on June 5th. It is worth noting that Akshay Kanti Bam had been given a Lok Sabha ticket by the Congress party from Indore. However, in a seemingly unanticipated move, he retracted his nomination on the final day and joined the BJP.

Inside the political corridors, it's believed that the charges of attempted murder were the reason behind Bam's retraction of his nomination and shift to the BJP. However, Bam has dismissed these allegations, stating that such cases were deliberately brought to light after he had been declared as the Congress candidate for the Indore seat.

Former Congress candidate Akshay Kanti Bam had clarified his decision to retract his nomination and join BJP. He claimed that a lack of support from the party organization compelled him to withdraw from the election race.

Indeed, on April 29, Bam's last-minute nomination withdrawal led to Congress losing its footing in the Indore seat race. Following this event, Bam abandoned Congress and embraced BJP.

The businessman-turned-politician stated in his justification to the media at the BJP office in Indore, "As a Congress candidate, I worked diligently to secure votes, but such a significant election could not be fought without the support of the party organization."

Bam asserted that his election campaign was stalled, and his promotional materials never reached the booth-level workers. Before withdrawing from the race, Bam had discussed the lack of support three times with Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari.

Bam mentioned that he had written to the leaders in Madhya Pradesh and Delhi, expressing his wish to organize electoral meetings and rallies with senior Congress leaders for campaigning purposes.

Bam also claimed that a senior Congress leader was present at the Indore airport for two hours, but no rally was arranged. Bam refrained from disclosing the leader's identity.
