An Indigo Airlines flight traveling from Chandigarh to Mumbai was forced to make an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport following a bomb threat. This incident unfolded on Tuesday afternoon when Air Traffic Control (ATC) was alerted to a bomb threat involving flight 6E-6382.
Mumbai ATC Declares Immediate Emergency
According to police, the threat call came via the airport's hotline at precisely 2:32 PM. In response, Mumbai ATC promptly declared a state of emergency and prioritized the safe landing of the concerned flight.
Extensive Aircraft Inspection Conducted
The flight successfully touched down at 2:57 PM. Following security protocols, the aircraft was directed to the airport's isolation bay, where a specialized bomb disposal team and security agencies performed a comprehensive inspection. The investigation revealed no suspicious items, confirming the threat as a hoax.
