The Indigo flight departing from Delhi to Imphal was redirected back to Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport shortly after takeoff. On Thursday morning at 10:34 AM, the aircraft took off from Delhi heading towards Imphal, Manipur. However, soon after ascent, the flight was safely landed back at Delhi airport.
Why was the flight brought back halfway? As of now, Indigo has not issued any statements regarding the incident.
Passenger Dr. Suvrokmal Dutta shared that the pilot announced a technical glitch, resulting in the return to the airport. The landing at Delhi airport was secure, and preparations are currently underway for the flight's next scheduled journey.
