The DGMO (Director General of Military Operations) level talks between India and Pakistan concluded on Monday, May 12 at 5:00 PM. The discussions focused on maintaining the commitment that neither side should fire a shot or initiate any aggressive and hostile actions against each other. There was also agreement on considering measures to immediately reduce the number of troops along the borders and forward areas. Initially scheduled for noon, this conversation wrapped up by evening.

Nine Terrorist Hideouts Destroyed

In response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, 'Operation Sindhur' was launched by India on the morning of May 7, targeting nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The two nations unexpectedly agreed on Saturday to halt all military actions by land, air, and sea with immediate effect.

35-40 Pakistani Soldiers Neutralized

During a defense press conference held on Monday, Lieutenant General Rajeev Ghai stated that 35-40 Pakistani soldiers were neutralized in combat and their objectives were accomplished. Officials also mentioned that all of India's military bases and systems are fully operational and ready to execute any mission if necessary.

Lieutenant General Rajeev Ghai also stated that the Indian Armed Forces sent a 'hotline message' to the Pakistani side on Sunday, highlighting the breach of military consent agreed upon a day earlier. He cautioned that if this occurs again, India will take decisive action.

He emphasized that the Indian Armed Forces have exercised 'great restraint' so far, and 'our actions have been focused, measured, and non-escalatory.'

Ghai stated, 'However, any threat to our citizens' sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security will be met with full strength.'
