On May 10, 2025, tensions escalated between India and Pakistan when Pakistan launched drone and missile attacks across 26 locations from Srinagar to Nalya. Colonel Sophia Qureshi reported that Pakistan used high-speed missiles, one of which was aimed at an airbase in Punjab at 1:40 AM.

Airbases in Udhampur, Pathankot, Bhuj, Bathinda, and Adampur were targeted. High-speed missiles were deployed along with drone and suicide drone attacks.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs' press conference, India targeted Pakistan's Noor Khan Air Base (Rawalpindi), Murid (Chakwal), and Rafiqui (Shorkot) during Operation Sindoor and retaliatory actions. India clarified that its actions were confined to terrorist bases and military facilities. Pakistan's claims of attacks on civilian areas or religious sites are false.

The Indian Army and Air Defense System played a critical role in neutralizing these attacks. The use of advanced air defense systems, such as the S-400, successfully incapacitated the missiles and drones.

Qureshi and Singh dismissed Pakistan’s claims that Indian systems like the S-400 and airports like Surat and Sirsa were destroyed. Qureshi indicated that Pakistan was using civilians as shields and spreading misinformation by opening its airspace.

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh emphasized that India does not wish to escalate tensions but is fully prepared to respond to any Pakistani misadventures.
