During a joint press conference between the Indian Armed Forces and the Ministry of External Affairs on Wednesday, full details of Operation Sindoor were disclosed. Wing Commander Viomika Singh issued a strong warning to Pakistan directly during this meeting.
At the beginning of the briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri stated that our intelligence surveillance had indicated possible future attacks against India. It was considered vital to prevent and handle them appropriately. As you are aware, India exercised its right to respond to and prevent such cross-border attacks earlier today. This action is meticulously measured, non-provocative, proportionate, and responsible. It aims to dismantle the infrastructure of terrorism and disable potential terrorists being sent to India.
Following this, Indian Army Colonel Sophia Quraishi addressed the press, giving insights into the actions taken during the night of May 6 to 7, 2025, from 1:05 to 1:30 am by the Indian Armed Forces during Operation Sindoor. It was launched to bring justice to innocent civilians and their families affected by the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. Nine terrorist camps were targeted and completely destroyed in this operation. Pakistan has been constructing terror infrastructure for the past three decades.
She further explained that this was not only a recruitment hub but also a training center for terrorists, including top-tier militants. I would like to emphasize that no military installations were targeted in this attack, and so far, there have been no reports of civilian casualties.
During the conclusion of the press briefing, Wing Commander Viomika Singh warned Pakistan, stating that we are prepared to counter any kind of reaction from Pakistan.
She stated that should Pakistan engage in any provocations in the future, the Indian Armed Forces are fully prepared to respond.
