Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated on Thursday after Pakistan attempted drone and missile attacks on Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur following Operation Sindoor. India's S-400 air defense system effectively intercepted and thwarted these attacks. In response, the Indian Army targeted Karachi Port, destroying an American F-16, two Chinese JF-17 fighter jets, and radar and defense systems. Meanwhile, responses from the US and Turkey have emerged.

US Vice President JD Vance commented on the escalating tensions, stating that America will not directly intervene in the conflict. He acknowledged that it is not easy to persuade India and Pakistan to disarm and emphasized that the US is seeking diplomatic avenues to prevent the situation from worsening. Vance expressed confidence that the tensions would not escalate into a major regional war or nuclear conflict.

JD Vance stated, "You know, America cannot ask Indians to lay down arms. We cannot ask Pakistanis to do the same, and thus, we are going to move forward through diplomatic channels. Our hope is that this does not escalate into a major regional war or, God forbid, a nuclear conflict. At this time, we do not think that this will happen."

Turkish President Responds

On the other hand, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan expressed his concern over the situation. He referred to those killed in Pakistan as "martyrs" and stated, "We are worried that tensions between Pakistan and India could escalate into open conflict with missile attacks leading to numerous civilian casualties."

Erdogan stated, "Yesterday, I had an important phone call with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. We find Pakistan's proposal for an international investigation into the heinous terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir appropriate." He added, "Despite those who are fanning the flames, as Turkey, we are doing our utmost to open channels for dialogue to reduce tensions and reach a resolution before the situation changes."
