In light of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh to canvass support for BJP candidate Vinod Sonkar. Shah stated that every vote for Sonkar is a step towards reaffirming Narendra Modi as Prime Minister. Among Sonkar's achievements are implementing the One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme for bananas, bringing fresh water to 2000 homes, and providing 47,000 houses.
Shah questioned Rahul Gandhi's support for Pakistan and highlighted the eradication of local land mafias under the BJP's watch. He openly criticized the opposition, asking the public if they could picture any one of them as Prime Minister, naming Sharad Pawar, Mamata Banerjee, Uddhav Thackeray, Stalin, and Rahul Gandhi.
Shah stated, 'A journalist asked who would become Prime Minister from the INDIA alliance, and their answer was they'd each take a turn. I want to tell them, this is a country, not a grocery store.'
Expressing confidence in the BJP's ethos, Shah invited opposition leaders to attend the Ram Temple's inaugural rituals, criticizing them for not showing up due to vote-bank fears. He commended Modi's efforts in restructuring the historically significant Baba Vishwanath corridor, which had been damaged by Aurangzeb.
Shah recounted how the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, under Yogi Adityanath, put an end to the mafia reign and protected the lands of the poor. He also discussed BJP's lack of dependency on vote banks compared to the opposition.
Further lambasting the Gandhi family's occasional presence in their constituency, Shah questioned the absenteeism post-election victories and pointed out instances where the Gandhis failed to respond to local disasters.
Concluding his speech, Shah addressed the citizens of Raebareli and assured that securing a victory in this constituency would pave the way for an overwhelming majority in the elections.
