After the BJP's triumph in the Haryana Assembly elections, voices of dissent towards Congress emerged within the INDIA alliance. Various alliance members raised concerns about Congress's strategies. Shiv Sena, through their publication Saamana, also critiqued Congress. In an editorial, Shiv Sena urged Maharashtra Congress to draw lessons from Haryana's results, accusing Congress of knowing how to turn a victory into a defeat.

Criticism Targeted Through Saamana

Shiv Sena asserted that Maharashtra Congress should heed the lessons from Haryana's loss. They noted that Congress failed to ally with AAP or other parties in Haryana, leading to their defeat. Nonetheless, alliances in Jammu and Kashmir were advantageous. Shiv Sena accused Congress of converting what could be a victory into a loss. According to Shiv Sena, the defeat in Haryana was due to Congress's overconfidence and leadership arrogance. Hooda overlooked non-Jat voters, suffering the consequences.

CPI Also Criticizes

CPI leader D. Raja remarked, 'The INDIA alliance did not contest together, benefiting the BJP. Alliance parties need to analyze why this happened. Had they united, the BJP's government might not have formed. It's crucial for Congress to ponder seriously.'

Manish Sisodia's Remarks

Former Deputy CM of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, also targeted Congress, stating that Haryana's people were eager to defeat the BJP, but Congress fell short. There were gaps in Congress's strategy and unity. An introspection is essential for Congress.

Supriya Sule's Insight

NCP MP and Maha Vikas Aghadi member, Supriya Sule, noted that while Congress seemed poised for a good performance, it didn’t materialize, prompting a need to discuss flaws with them to avoid repetition. Earlier, Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi and Arvind Kejriwal had also criticized Congress.

Kiran Choudhary's Analysis

BJP MP Kiran Choudhary stated, 'In Haryana, Congress reduced to a father-son party. Only the father-son duo was visible, and none else. That's why they were defeated by the public. The comments made against Kumari Selja were shameful, particularly those targeting women.'

Note that out of Haryana's 90 assembly seats, BJP secured 48, maintaining their power for a third consecutive time, while Congress garnered just 37 seats. The majority threshold was at 46.
