The mother of Maharashtra's probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar has been sent a notice by Pune police regarding an Arms Act case. They have inquired why her pistol license should not be revoked.

An FIR has been filed against Manorama Khedkar for Arms Act violation, and proceedings to cancel her pistol license have commenced. When the police visited to deliver the notice, no one was present at her residence, prompting them to affix it to her door and depart.

Pune City Police have asked for a response within 10 days; failure to explain may lead to the cancellation of her pistol license. The notice includes references to various sections of the IPC also listed in the FIR against her.

Additionally, a complaint has been lodged by the victim alleging Manorama Khedkar threatened their life, and misused her pistol against ordinary people. If no response is received within the stipulated 10 days, necessary action will be taken against her.

It's worth noting that while IAS Pooja Khedkar's case was still heated, a year-old video resurfaced on social media. The video showed Pooja Khedkar's mother brandishing a licensed pistol, threatening individuals, leading to an FIR recorded by the police, and now, a notice to cancel the pistol license has also been sent.
