A clinic in Hyderabad was rocked by scandal when a female customer's diamond ring, valued at ₹30.69 lakhs, was stealthily taken by staff and later found flushed down the toilet out of fear of arrest. The ring was recovered from the connecting pipeline with a plumber's assistance, and the female staff member was detained for the theft.
According to the police, a woman visited a reputable dermatology and hair clinic in Hyderabad last week. During her appointment, she inadvertently left her ring on a table and didn't realize the mistake until she reached home. Rushing back to the clinic, she inquired about the ring, but no one provided any information, prompting her to approach the police.
Out of fear, the ring was flushed away
The subsequent police inquiry initially led nowhere until they intensified questioning, and one of the clinic's female employees confessed to having stolen the ring and hidden it in her purse. She revealed that she later panicked and flushed the ring down the clinic's toilet.
The search led by a plumber
The revelation shocked the officers, who rapidly called for a plumber. The pipeline was dismantled, and after a thorough search, the diamond ring was found, much to the relief of the authorities.
