In a heart-wrenching incident in Hathras, 121 individuals lost their lives and many were injured. The injured have been admitted to hospitals across different districts, including some at Aligarh's Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College. Among the victims is Shivmangal Singh, who arrived from Delhi with his wife to attend Baba's program on the day of the incident.
During the chaos in Hathras, Singh's wife was grievously hurt and is currently in the ICU at AMU's Medical College. Singh insists that Baba is not at fault. According to him, it was the public's lack of discipline that led to the tragedy. No matter his wife's condition, his faith in Baba's teachings remains unshaken.
While speaking with the media, Shivmangal from Etah expressed that his commitment to the path of spirituality has not diminished despite his wife's critical condition. He recounted that they had been attending gatherings for the past one and a half years, drawn by the inspiration and unity beyond social divides promoted there.

Shivmangal, present during the mishap, was distanced from his wife when the panic started. After learning of the situation, he was able to locate her with the help of others' phones and rushed to the hospital, only to find that she had been referred elsewhere and was now in the ICU in Aligarh.

He reiterated that Baba had always advised against rushing and had instead directed followers to be patient and respectful, especially towards women. Shivmangal cleared both Baba's commandos and servers from any blame, stating that it was the uncontrolled enthusiasm of the public that was responsible for the accident. Despite the incident and his wife’s severe injuries, Shivmangal's faith stays strong, and he shares her resolve to continue attending such spiritual events.
