The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has exposed an extensive human trafficking operation, ensnaring unsuspecting Indians with the false promise of lucrative overseas employment, only to transport them to the vulnerable Russia-Ukraine war zones. According to news agencies, officers unveiled up to 35 cases where young individuals were deceitfully recruited through social media, local contacts, and agents. Authorities are continuing efforts to identify victims. Raids spanned 13 sites across Delhi, Thiruvananthapuram, Mumbai, Ambala, Chandigarh, Madurai, and Chennai.

A CBI spokesperson stated that trafficked Indian citizens were coerced into war-related roles and against their will deployed at frontlines in the Russia-Ukraine conflict area, putting their lives at significant risk. The agency filed FIRs against several visa consultancy firms and agents, alleging organized criminal involvement across multiple states. The CBI has registered cases against '24x7 RAS Overseas Foundation' and its director Suyash Mukut in Delhi, 'OSD Bros Travels And Visa Services Private Limited' and its director Rakesh Pandey in Mumbai, 'Adventure Visa Services Private Limited' and its director Manjeet Singh in Chandigarh, and Dubai-based 'Baba Vlogs Overseas Recruitment Solutions Private Limited' and its director Faisal Abdul Mutalib Khan, aka Baba.

The agency confiscated approximately ₹50 lakh, incriminating documents, laptops, mobile phones, desktop computers, and other electronic records. Additionally, several suspects have been detained for questioning at various locations.
