Amidst a campaign journey, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi found himself spending the night in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh due to an unforeseen halt. His helicopter ran out of fuel, followed by poor weather conditions that grounded the aircraft, leading to an impromptu overnight stay in the city.

Rahul Gandhi made his way to a local eatery situated on the Shahdol-Katni National Highway 43 for dinner, joined by Madhya Pradesh's Congress President Jitu Patwari and Congress leader Kunal Chaudhary.

In the midst of the Lok Sabha campaign, Rahul Gandhi addressed rallies in Mandla and Shahdol. With the polls scheduled for April 26, his stay in Shahdol was marked by local hospitality at a hotel, after which he departed at 6 am the following morning.

The state Congress Chief Jitu Patwari informed that due to the inclement weather conditions in Shahdol, Rahul Gandhi's helicopter was unable to fly. Following this, on Tuesday morning, Gandhi conversed with women collecting Mahua in Umaria.

Upon passing through Umaria in the morning, when Gandhi saw the tribal women collecting Mahua, he approached them. He joined the women in their task, spent time discussing their lives, and then proceeded to depart for Delhi.

The region is predominantly inhabited by tribal communities, where women collecting Mahua is a common sight and crucial for their family's sustenance.
