Horror movies, a beloved genre for many, have long been a staple in Bollywood's filmography. The latest to join this list is a short film titled 'Happy Ending'. Renowned TV actresses Nalini Negi and Ishita Ganguly star in the pivotal roles.

'Happy Ending' is a Halloween horror short film that stretches over 10 minutes. The plot revolves around a girl watching a horror movie in her room and soon realizes the horrors on screen are manifesting in her reality, leading to a jaw-dropping climax.

The concept of Anil Bajaj's horror short 'Happy Ending' must have seemed gripping on paper, but the final product is less than stellar. Although the film does engage to some extent with its suspenseful elements, it is sorely lacking in genuine horror. The background score also doesn't quite hit the mark. Nevertheless, the film succeeds in conveying its message clearly without any dialogue.

The story, penned by writer Mushtaq Sheikh, known for his work in Bollywood hits like 'Om Shanti Om', 'Ra.One', 'Billu', and 'Rangrezz', is promising but ultimately falters in the screenplay.

In terms of performance, Nalini Negi, known for her roles in 'Laut Aao Trisha' and 'Laal Ishq', delivers a commendable performance. Ishita Ganguly, famed for her portrayal of a serpent in 'Maitri', captures her character's essence well in this spooky offering. Both actresses excel within the scope of their roles.

'Happy Ending' is currently streaming for free on Jio Cinema.
