Last year, on February 14, CRPF soldier Hemraj was martyred in the terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir. In response, the Indian government launched an aerial strike on a terrorist base in Balakot, Pakistan. Now, the inauguration of soldier Hemraj's memorial is set for February 16.

In Rajasthan's Kota district, near the town of Sangod, lies the village of Vinod Khurd, the ancestral home of martyr Hemraj Meena, who is survived by four children. Currently, his parents reside in their ancestral village while his wife and children live in the town of Sangod.

Hemraj Meena's eldest daughter, Reena, and his youngest son, Rishabh, stay with their mother in Sangod. Reena is appearing for her second-year private exams to remain close to her mother, while the youngest, Rishabh, is in the first grade.

The second daughter, Antima, studying in tenth grade, and the son, Ajay, in eighth grade, are pursuing their education in Kota while residing at the Meena hostel.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has granted INR 1 lakh for Hemraj's memorial, urging the completion of this work through the CFCL factory located in Gadhed Pan, Kota.

Once the memorial work is completed, it will be inaugurated in Hemraj Meena's ancestral village on February 16, the same day his funeral was held.
