On September 15 in Gurugram, Haryana near Delhi, a terrifying video revealed a deadly crash between a bike and a Mahindra 3XO SUV. The high-speed biker, identified as Akshat Garg, lost his life in the accident.
The Biker Could Not Be Saved
The deceased, Akshat Garg, was riding his bike at high speed on Sunday night when the Mahindra 3XO, coming from the wrong side, hit the bike. The collision threw Akshat off his bike, landing him far behind on the road. Despite the ambulance arriving quickly, Akshat Garg could not be saved.
The Accused Was Driving From the Wrong Side
Akshat's friend Pradyumna tried to wake his friend up, but he couldn’t. After the accident, a tearful Pradyumna asked the SUV driver why he was driving on the wrong side. The video showed him asking people to call the police.
The SUV Driver Granted Bail
The police registered an FIR under sections 106 (causing death by negligence), 281 (speeding), 324(4) (causing damage exceeding ₹20,000), and 166 (compensation after a motor vehicle accident). The SUV driver, Kuldeep Thakur, was arrested by the police at the accident scene. However, he was later released on bail.
