Fish oil has been confirmed in the prasad of Tirupati Temple. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had accused the use of animal fat instead of ghee in the prasad of Tirupati Temple. Subsequently, samples were sent for testing. The report is now out, revealing the presence of fish oil. On Wednesday, the CM accused Former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy of mixing animal fat instead of ghee in Tirupati Temple prasad during his regime.
During a program, Naidu mentioned that substandard quality products, including animal fat instead of ghee, were used in the prasad. He emphasized that they ensured the prasad contained pure ghee, cleanliness, and high-quality ingredients.
Jagan Mohan Reddy's Response
In response to CM Naidu's statement, Reddy’s party YSRCP countered that Chandrababu Naidu has committed a grave sin by tarnishing the purity of the divine Tirumala Temple and hurting the faith of millions of Hindus. They argued that no person would make such derogatory comments or allegations, and once again it has been proved that Chandrababu will stoop to any level for political gains.
Reddy stated that to strengthen devotees' faith, he and his family are ready to take an oath regarding the purity of the Tirumala prasad. He questioned if Chandrababu is willing to do the same with his family.
Accusations of Substandard Ingredients in Laddus
It’s worth noting that the famous Tirupati Laddu offered at the Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati is managed by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). Addressing an NDA meeting, CM Naidu claimed that the Tirumala Laddus were also once made with substandard ingredients, using animal fat instead of ghee. He stressed that now pure ghee is being used and everything in the temple is sanitized, which has improved quality.
