In a shocking case from Madhya Pradesh's Mandsaur, police have apprehended five individuals, including two women, for abetting a 36-year-old man's suicide. The deceased, identified as Prakash Banjara, allegedly hanged his 12-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son on March 4th in his village Rundi before taking his own life.

Authorities recovered a suicide note at the site, in which seven people – Raju, Kalu, Sanju, Govind, Lela Bai, Nooji Bai, and Geeta Bai – were accused of mentally tormenting him and leading him to murder his minor children. Banjara mentioned in his note that these individuals had assaulted his wife and torn her clothes three months prior. Although a complaint was filed, no action was taken against them.

Police sources state that Banjara labeled Raju as a local bully in his suicide note, demanding his execution, and accused him of having police connections, which allegedly prevented action against him. He sought justice to be delivered by reaching the state's Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.

Mandsaur district's SP Anurag Sujaniya explained that a complaint was registered against the accused under IPC section 506, and they were granted bail. Conversely, a counter-complaint against Banjara was filed, but lack of confirmed facts resulted in no action. After intensive investigation, the five arrested include Raju, Kalu, Govind, Nooji Bai, and Geeta Bai, all charged with abetting the suicides.
