In Green Field Colony, Faridabad, a house owner was held hostage and ₹4.5 million along with jewelry was stolen two days ago. The police have cracked the case, arresting five suspects including a woman. They say the robbing gang hails from Nepal. After committing the crime, the suspects planned to flee to Nepal. CCTV footage of the accused has also surfaced.

DCP Crime Hemendra Meena reported that five criminals, including a woman, have been apprehended. This operation was carried out in relation to a robbery that occurred two days ago in the Green Field area of Faridabad. Two days prior to the robbery, a woman had joined the household as a maid. She surveilled the entire house and, finding an opportune moment, called her associates to execute the heist.

The robbed house was occupied by an elderly couple and their son and daughter-in-law. On the day of the robbery, the elderly man's health deteriorated, and he was admitted to the hospital, while the son and daughter-in-law were not at home. During the night, the woman called four of her associates. They entered the house, took the house owner hostage, seized the key to the cupboard, and stole ₹4.5 million in cash and jewelry before fleeing.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene and started their investigation. The police clarified that the suspects were attempting to escape to Nepal and were caught in Anand Vihar. The cash and jewelry were recovered from them. This gang has committed several other robberies in Delhi and Gurugram.

DCP stated that these criminals come from Nepal to commit crimes. This gang has previously committed crimes in Delhi, Jaipur, Ludhiana, and other parts of the country.

Their modus operandi involves placing their female accomplice in homes under the pretext of being a maid. They also provide her with a narcotic powder to be mixed into the house members' food to facilitate the crime. In this case, since there were only an elderly person and small children at home, the woman did not drug anyone and executed the heist with the help of her associates. Two associates entered the house, while the other two waited outside in a three-wheeler. We have now arrested all five members of the gang.
