After a car blast near Delhi's Red Fort, the NIA's investigation is in full swing. Amidst this, Haryana's DGP O P Singh headed to Al Falah University in Faridabad on Tuesday. Spending four meticulous hours on campus alongside his ADIG/CID team, he engaged with officials, administration, faculty, students, residents from surrounding villages, and even a Maulvi's family.

The probe was thorough, covering every nook that potentially served as a hideout, safe house, or operational point for terrorists. The deadly November 10 explosion, which claimed 15 lives, first brought this university into the limelight. The blast involved a Hyundai i20 driven by Dr. Umar Nabi, previously an assistant professor at the university. Several doctors were implicated in the conspiracy.

Among them were Dr. Muzammil Ganai and Dr. Shaheen Saeed, both of whom were arrested. During the investigation at the university, a sophisticated white-collar terror module was uncovered. Close to 2900 kilos of explosive material were seized from a rented house in Faridabad. This was linked to networks spread across Kashmir, Haryana, and UP, aligning with groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.

A significant role in this network was played by a Maulvi whose roots connected the university to a mosque in Faridabad. Upon arrival, DGP O P Singh gave explicit directives to the administration to deeply investigate the security lapses. Questions arose about how the module thrived for so long and who facilitated their access within the university.

Inquiries were made regarding where such a large cache of arms and ammunition was hidden. The authorities were instructed to locate the missing faculty members posthaste. A joint meeting with Faridabad's Deputy Commissioner and the Police Commissioner emphasized the imperative to reassess all religious institutions.

DGP emphasized immediate alerts to central agencies about any suspicious entities. Furthermore, he communicated his experiences on the social media platform X, reassuring students about their paramount safety, and urging calm. He stated, “Inspected the terrorists' hideouts meticulously.”
