Shockwaves were sent through Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, upon the discovery of a couple’s bodies. The husband strangled his wife before taking his own life. The double tragedy left the family devastated when two bodies were found in the house. The police, upon being alerted, have taken possession of the bodies and sent them for post-mortem.
Reports suggest that the husband acted on suspicions of his wife's illicit affair. Following the murder, he ended his own life. This tragic event unfolded in the village of Nagla Chainsukh, Saifai area, where chaos erupted after the discovery of the bodies last night.
As per information, the deceased Avnish alias Manoj (30) strangled his wife Sonam and subsequently hung himself with a rope from an iron grill in the house. The couple leaves behind an 8-year-old son. Police have arrived at the scene, responding to the family's notification, and dispatched the bodies for post-mortem examination.

Before his death, Avnish recorded a video. In the video, he claimed that his wife Sonam had an illicit relationship with a neighboring officer with whom she communicated, prompting him to murder her and now take his own life. In another video, Avnish shows his unconscious wife and their child, stating that his wife has died and no blame should be placed on the family or relatives.
According to the deceased’s elder brother, Sanjeev Kumar, his brother was a truck driver about to travel to Delhi but took his life by hanging at home. The couple frequently quarreled, and for the last four to five months, he had stayed at home. Allegations made against the neighboring officer, who doesn't reside there often, have yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Satyapal Singh mentioned that the couple had a fight in the evening. They have an 8-year-old son who witnessed the quarrel. At night, the husband strangled the wife and later hanged himself. The child opened the gate and informed the family members. Currently, the bodies are under custody, and a post-mortem is underway. Investigations into the reason for the suicides continue.
