Former President Donald Trump, eyeing the 2024 presidential nomination, promises the largest deportation operation in American history if re-elected.
Addressing a conference in Michigan, Trump called for votes for a president who 'throws out radical Islamic terrorists.'
'The choice is clear this November. Elect a president who lets thousands of radicals in, or one who will expel them,' he declared.
He emphasized, 'On day one of my new administration, we'll begin the biggest deportation in history. There's no other option. It's unsustainable.'
Trump Supporters Slam Biden on Immigration
With elections looming, Republicans spotlight the 'migrant invasion.' Trump's camp crafts a narrative of Democrats, led by Biden, softening immigration, often referring to immigrant-related crimes as 'Biden migrant crimes.'
Trump, ahead of elections, has repeatedly spoken against immigration, at times linking it to national security threats, even labeling thousands of terrorists as infiltrators to America and alleging long-term consequences for the country.
In April, he referred to immigrants as 'animals,' reinforcing claims of them poisoning America. The remark was met with significant backlash.
Qualifications for U.S. Presidential Candidates
The Constitution requires candidates to be at least 35, natural-born citizens, and residents for 14 years. Some states bar felons from local elections, but not for federal office.
Notably, Trump was recently found guilty in a hush money case, marking the first time a sitting or former president faced criminal proceedings in the U.S. The 12-member jury convicted him of all 34 charges related to covering up a pre-election payoff to pornstar Stormy Daniels and manipulating his business records.
