It is reported that the conflict arose from a property dispute. The injured elder has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Following the victim's complaint, the police registered a case against the perpetrator and took him into custody.
The altercation involving the senior citizen was captured on a CCTV camera installed nearby. On Wednesday, in the South Civil Lines police jurisdiction, a young man named Gaurav Bansal reportedly inflicted a brutal beating on 60-year-old Devendra Singh with a stick due to a property dispute. Someone present at the scene recorded the incident and shared it on social media, where it went viral. The complete event was also captured on a domestic CCTV camera.

The police, upon noticing the viral video, immediately arrived at the scene and ensured the injured elder received hospital care. The assailant has been arrested following the registration of the case.

City CO Vyom Bindal reported that around 11:30 am on Wednesday, the police were informed of an assault near the BSNL office. Upon arrival, they learnt that Gaurav Bansal had beaten the elder with a stick. Initial investigations suggest that the incident was a result of a property dispute. The assailant is now in police custody.
