Seismic Zone 4 includes Delhi-NCR
Delhi-NCR is part of Seismic Zone 4, which is highly susceptible to earthquakes. In recent years, several earthquakes with magnitudes above 4.0 have been recorded in this region. Experts suggest that seismic activities in this area result from tectonic movements, particularly due to the collision of the Indo-Australian and Eurasian plates.
NDRF issues guidelines
Post-earthquake, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) released practical guidelines to ensure safety during an earthquake. These guidelines are divided into three phases, detailing precautionary measures before, during, and after an earthquake.
