In the Earth Towne project of Greater Noida West, hundreds booked homes, taking bank loans to pay for their flats. Yet years later, their homes remain undelivered. Initial disputes between the builder's partners halted work. Buyers turned to the courts but now complain that court dates keep being postponed. Frustrated, they declare that if hearings don't begin, they may camp at the project site.

Seventy-five-year-old Shridevi booked a flat in Earth Towne in 2010. Her husband invested their life's savings there, expecting a peaceful post-retirement life. Their dreams shattered when the builder abruptly halted work. Fifteen years on, they still see no hope of getting their home. Living with their son, who intermittently threatens to evict them, they worry about their future.

Fellow buyer Satya Mitra explains that in 2010, he bought a home eagerly, but by 2011 realized something was wrong. Despite ongoing dialogues with the builder and authorities querying the project slowdown, they received no responses.

Anita Malik, a Janakpuri resident in Delhi, trusted the builder, a neighbor, and booked not one but two flats. Fifteen years on, she curses the day she booked these flats, as she hasn't received a single one.

Anita recounts— initially shattered when the builder was jailed, regained hope upon their release with promises of home delivery if cases weren't filed. Yet, recently, the builder's family stealthily sold their home and left Delhi.
