In a startling incident from Banda, Uttar Pradesh, a woman leaves her five children and elopes with her lover. In a fit of rage, the husband allegedly set their house ablore. As the flames grew, the police arrived just in time to extinguish the fire and rescue the endangered children.
The affair came to light in the Karital name area near Naraini. A fire broke out at Lallu's residence at around 2 in the morning. Despite everything being engulfed in flames, the victim asked the police not to intervene. Nonetheless, authorities reached the scene to conduct an assessment.
Police reports indicate that the mud house was ablaze. No one was attempting to douse the fire. Lallu's five children and elderly mother were inside the home but were safely evacuated. As neighbors looked on, no assistance was offered, and when questioned, the husband accused a man from a neighboring village of taking his wife and setting the fire.

Following their investigation, police discerned the husband remained idle despite the fire. He was spotted lying on a cot and, when asked why he didn't attempt to extinguish the flames, claimed there was no water even though police managed to suppress the fire using nearby trenches. This led to the suspicion that, overcome by anger at his wife's departure, he might have instigated the fire. Police provided him with rations and began a thorough investigation.
The in-charge officer, Roshan Kumar Gupta, stated that information regarding the fire had come in around 2 a.m. Immediately, the fire department was notified and swiftly reached the site. With the help of the villagers, the fire was put under control and everyone within the home was confirmed safe.
Further scrutiny revealed no one had deliberately set the fire and the implicated wife was missing with an associate, who was out of town. It seemed more and more likely that the individual she left with could have started the fire. The husband had attempted to deter the police and fire team from responding to the incident. While he lay on his cot, the fire raged; a complaint has been filed and is under investigation.
