Crocodiles Enter Residential Areas

Bus Stand Submerged, Toll Plaza Underwater

In Jamnagar, the floods have confined people to their homes. Water is everywhere, inside and outside homes. Jamnagar MLA Rivaba Jadeja arrived with a rescue team to help people trapped by the flood. The rescue team used ladders and ropes to bring people out of the floodwaters. The government bus stand in Jamnagar is submerged, with only the roofs of buses visible. The toll plaza is also underwater. The situation is similar in Rajkot.

People Climbed to Roofs to Save Lives

In some areas of Vadodara, there is water up to 10-12 feet deep. People were forced to climb onto their rooftops in search of rescue teams. In Porbandar and Kalyanpur, people were rescued by helicopter. In light of the flood crisis, the Gujarat government has requested assistance from the Indian Army and Air Force, leading to multiple troops being involved in rescue operations.

Over 41 Thousand People Moved to Safety

In various parts of Gujarat, a total of 41,678 people have been moved to safer locations from flood-affected areas. In the past 48 hours, the Indian Coast Guard, Navy, Indian Army, Air Force, and teams from the NDRF, ADRF, and SDRF have rescued more than 500 people. Gujarat has deployed 15 NDRF teams, 27 SDRF teams, and seven army teams.
