The cabinet note for the Women’s Honor Scheme in Delhi is ready. The cabinet meeting is scheduled for 11 AM today. Initially, the benefits of this scheme are only for BPL card holders. The primary condition is that women benefiting from this scheme should not be availing benefits from any other government scheme. Eligible women's age must be between 21 and 60 years and registration is mandatory. Note that no money will be credited to any woman’s account today.

Ministers have started arriving at the Delhi Secretariat for the cabinet meeting. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has reached the Delhi Secretariat. Manjinder Singh Sirsa is also present. The Chief Secretary of Delhi and officials from the General Administration Department have also arrived at the Secretariat.

Sources revealed that the announcement to start registration for the Women Assistance Scheme will be made at the program in JLN Stadium. The eligibility criteria likely include women aged 21 to 60 with an annual income not exceeding 2.5 lakh rupees. Party insiders mentioned online registration for the scheme will be available at the event for economically weaker women to receive 2,500 rupees.

Last week, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari mentioned that registration for the scheme would begin on March 8, and the list of eligible beneficiaries will be prepared, followed by the completion of the process of giving 2,500 rupees to each economically deprived woman within one and a half months.

Since the day the BJP government took office in Delhi, the opposition AAP has been confronting them over fulfilling electoral promises, especially questioning the promise to grant 2,500 rupees monthly to women. Meanwhile, the BJP claims to expose layers of corruption in the AAP government.

On March 4, during the assembly, CM Rekha Gupta told opposition leader Atishi that her safety is a concern. In response, Atishi remarked she could look after her safety and urged that attention be directed toward the promises made to Delhi’s women, including the delivery of the first installment on March 8.

CM Rekha Gupta asserted that the promises made to women would be fulfilled 100%. The designated day of March 8 for women will see them receiving financial assistance in their accounts.
