In a shocking turn of events, approximately 60 schools in Delhi were thrown into chaos due to threatening emails claiming the presence of bombs on the premises. Upon receiving this information from the schools, terrified parents rushed to the scene. The arrival of hundreds of parents outside the schools only added to the pandemonium. Parents argued that they should have been informed earlier if the schools had received the threat by email in the morning. The police urged parents to avoid creating panic.

The list of threatened schools includes prominent institutions like DPS Dwarka, Mother Mary School in Mayur Vihar, and Sanskriti School in New Delhi. DPS Dwarka, a high-profile school, received a specific bomb threat. The fire department was notified at six in the morning, which led to the arrival of Delhi Police, bomb disposal squads, and fire engines on site. A thorough search of the school was conducted.

Meanwhile, when parents received messages to collect their children, many hurried to the schools. One parent, Divya, expressed their confusion, stating they were not informed by the school about the reasons for their child's return. Despite a morning alert from the school announcing the closure for unspecified reasons, several parents who missed the message found their children had already reached school.

Upon learning of the bomb threat, one parent, Divya, rushed to the school, where police were actively investigating. One parent described the incident as deeply unsettling, saying that they were overcome with panic after arrival at the school. Another pointed out that, except for one or two schools, no communication had been received. If schools had notified them in time, they wouldn't have been so distressed. A Mother Mary School parent said that their ninth-grader had exams, and because they missed the message, they came to the school to find chaos and a fear that settled in the children's minds. They wished the threatening email to be a hoax.

'One Email Sent to Multiple Schools'

Sources linked to Delhi Police revealed that multiple schools in Delhi received threatening emails about bombs on Wednesday morning. More than 60 bomb threat calls were reported, with around 40 of them in Noida and Greater Noida. The IP address of the email suggests it originated from outside India. The investigation is ongoing.

According to sources, initial investigations by Delhi Police indicate that numerous places have received emails since yesterday. These emails did not contain a specific deadline and appear to have been sent to multiple locations.

It is worth noting that schools in Delhi have been targeted with similar threatening emails in the past. In February, the principal of DPS School in RK Puram received such an email. Amity School in Saket also received a threatening email in February, which included a demand for money.
