In Delhi's Dwarka area, a 36-year-old man was brutally murdered by four individuals. According to police, the man was accused of persistently harassing a girl and her family after they rejected his marriage proposal.
News agency reports have identified the deceased as Avneesh Saxena (36). His body was discovered on May 13th near a field by the Dichau-Bakkarwala road, Baba Haridas Nagar area. His motorcycle was also found abandoned nearby.
Ankit Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka), stated that they received a PCR call regarding an unidentified body and a motorcycle. The crime and forensic team inspected the scene and identified the deceased using the vehicle's registration number.
Initial investigations revealed Avneesh was pressuring a girl to marry him against her will. The girl and her family, distressed, left Delhi and stopped responding to Avneesh's calls. In retaliation, Avneesh began threatening them with public humiliation and harm.
Police reported a physical altercation with the girl's brother, instigating the brother to confide in his neighbor, Devendra Singh. Together, they devised a plan to murder Avneesh.
On May 14th, accused Ishant Paswan lured Avneesh to a secluded spot under the pretense of recovering 80,000 rupees. Devendra was already stationed there. Once in the field, Ishant struck Avneesh with a sharp weapon on his head, and Devendra joined the attack. Two other accused, Rahul (24) and Vishal alias Golu (28), kept watch. Following the murder, all four fled the scene, leaving behind the body and the motorcycle.
