Shooter from Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Arrested After Delhi Gym Owner's Murder

A sharpshooter, allegedly involved in the murder of a gym owner in Delhi and linked to Lawrence Bishnoi and Hashim Baba gangs, was apprehended on Saturday after an encounter with Delhi Police's Special Cell in Narela.

A 'sharpshooter' allegedly connected with the murder of a gym owner in Delhi, related to Lawrence Bishnoi and Hashim Baba gangs, was nabbed in Narela by the Special Cell of Delhi Police post an encounter on Saturday. Police officials reported that during the clash, bullets hit both legs of Kabir Nagar resident, Madhur alias Ayaan, and he was subsequently admitted to the hospital.

Murder Outside Gym

Police stated that Madhur and his accomplice Raju allegedly shot and killed 35-year-old Nadir Shah outside his gym in Greater Kailash-1 on September 12. Shah had multiple criminal cases, including robbery and attempted murder, registered against him.

Opened Fire When Asked to Stop

A police officer mentioned that around 8 PM, a tip-off led a Special Cell team to locate Madhur on Narela-Bawana Road, and a trap was laid for his capture. They tried to stop Madhur, who was on a motorcycle around 9 PM near a residential complex, but he responded by opening fire on the police team.

'A Total of 11 Shots Exchanged'

Police retaliated, with a total of 11 shots fired from both sides. During this, Madhur sustained gunshot injuries to his legs. The bullet fired by the accused also hit Sub Inspector Adesh Kumar, though he was protected by a bulletproof jacket. Efforts to nab Raju are still underway, according to police reports.

Officials recovered a .32 semi-automatic pistol and eight live cartridges from the encounter site. The Honda Hornet motorcycle used by Madhur has also been seized.

The deceased, Nadir Shah, had a criminal background with charges of robbery and attempted murder, and he owned a gym in Greater Kailash Part 1. Shah was said to have business connections in Dubai and was reportedly acquainted with some Delhi Police officers.
