Last Sunday around 9 PM, the Kanjhawala Police Station in Rohini district received a distressing call about a girl's murder. Swiftly acting on the information, Delhi Police reached the field from where the call was made. On-site, they found a young woman lying in a pool of blood, her body bearing multiple lacerations.
The police immediately rushed the wounded girl to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Identifying the victim became the real challenge for investigators. They learned she had taken a cab to Kanjhawala. Using CCTV footage, the police extracted details from the cab driver and were able to confirm the girl's identity.

The victim hailed from Prem Nagar in Delhi and was accompanied by her father, Nand Kishore, at the time of the crime. The police traced Nand Kishore's mobile location and detained him for questioning. During interrogation, Nand Kishore confessed to his daughter's murder, revealing he worked in window glass installation and mercilessly slit his daughter's throat with a blade used for cutting paper.
According to the information obtained from the police, during the interrogation, Nand Kishore mentioned that his daughter wanted to marry according to her own will. They often argued over this matter. In a fit of rage over this persistent conflict, he committed the crime.
