On Friday, Delhi braved a scorching 41 degrees Celsius. Evening showers, however, brought a slight respite from the intense heat. The meteorological department predicts possibilities of light rain on April 27. Following this, a heat surge is expected in the national capital with temperatures potentially hitting 40 degrees Celsius once again on April 29.
Delhi's Temperature Forecast
According to IMD, Delhi's maximum temperature this week could oscillate between 37 and 40 degrees Celsius. The minimum is likely to stay within 22-24 degrees Celsius. Strong winds are expected throughout the week in Delhi.

Warning for Rain and Snow in These Regions
As predicted by weather forecasting agency Skymet, light to moderate rain and snow, along with thunderstorms and hail, are likely in Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh within the next 24 hours, from April 26-28. Meanwhile, isolated rain and snow are forecasted in Uttarakhand during the same period. Moreover, Punjab may experience rain and thunder along with strong winds of 30-40 km/h from April 26-28. Haryana is likely to get rain on April 26 and 27, and similar conditions could prevail in Rajasthan, western Uttar Pradesh during the same period.

Scattered rain and thunderstorms are possible in parts of Madhya Pradesh, central Maharashtra, southeastern Rajasthan, eastern Gujarat, and different areas of Delhi. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala might witness light showers at one or two places. Light to moderate rain or snowfall is possible in Arunachal Pradesh. Northeast India and Sikkim may also see light rain.
