In a move focused on ensuring free and fair elections in the country, Congress has set up an 'EAGLE' team. EAGLE stands for Empowered Action Group of Leaders and Experts. This team will analyze election outcomes and voter lists after every election and submit a report to the party leadership. 'EAGLE's first task is to address issues regarding Maharashtra's elections, where they will present a detailed report on voter list manipulation to the high command.
A notification issued by Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal stated that the Congress President has immediately formed an empowered task group (EAGLE) consisting of leaders and experts to oversee the conduct of independent and fair elections by India's Election Commission. Congress and Opposition Accuse Election Manipulation
Congress and other opposition parties have consistently alleged that EVMs can be tampered with to benefit the BJP. During Lok Sabha elections and recent assembly elections, these accusations were voiced more vocally, with the opposition citing instances such as EVM batteries not being discharged. They also expressed concerns over sudden spikes in voting, attributing these to potential malpractices, and demanded VVPAT slips be counted during EVM voting.

Congress's Claims on Maharashtra Election Votes
Expressing doubts over the results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Congress raised questions about alleged manipulation of approximately 1 million votes. Maharashtra Congress leaders asserted that the Election Commission updated the vote percentage at 11:59 PM and then increased the count by 1.3% the following day.
After the Maharashtra elections, Congress questioned how 999,000 votes could have increased and why there was no prior announcement. Since all processes are now online, where was the problem? They asked the Election Commission for clarification. However, the Election Commission later dismissed Congress's claims and allegations, stating that no manipulation occurred.
