As the Delhi elections loom closer, the Central Election Committee (CEC) of the Bharatiya Janata Party met to deliberate on numerous strategic aspects pivotal to the forthcoming assembly elections in Delhi.
According to insiders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi acknowledged that the residents of Delhi are increasingly drawn towards the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, he asserted that to win, the party must intensify its efforts.
Targeting Arvind Kejriwal
In the CEC meeting, PM Modi addressed the party leaders with remarks about Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi's former Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party's convenor. He emphasized the need for BJP to expose the reality of AAP and its leaders to the public, highlighting the importance of unveiling the falsehoods attributed to Arvind Kejriwal.
Speculations suggest that BJP's second list of candidates could be released soon, following the initial list with 29 names. The party is now focusing on finalizing a list of 41 candidates. Entry Verma has been fielded from New Delhi, facing the competition from AAP's convenor Kejriwal and Congress candidate Sandeep Dikshit. Meanwhile, from the Kalkaji seat, Bidhuri will contest against Chief Minister Atishi and Alka Lamba.
CampaigTrail Begins in Ashok Vihar
It's notable that intense verbal sparring has ensued among BJP, Congress, and AAP as the Delhi elections approach. All parties are vehemently striving not to lag in the verbal battles. With this scenario in mind, PM Narendra Modi launched the Bharatiya Janata Party's election campaign on January 3, delivering a powerful speech against AAP in Ashok Vihar, Delhi.
