A specialized medical board composed of five esteemed AIIMS doctors has been established for the health check-up of the incarcerated Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, a decision made following a court's order on April 23rd. Dr. Nikhil Tandon, who was previously appointed by AIIMS to monitor Kejriwal's health upon the request of Tihar Jail's DG, now heads the medical board.

The Medical Board Will Visit Jail

Since Monday, April 22, CM Kejriwal has been administered with a low dose of 2 units of insulin before lunch and dinner daily. A face-to-face meeting with the medical board has not yet been arranged, but the team is expected to soon conduct an on-site health examination at Tihar Jail.

Regular health checks and supervision by Tihar Jail's medical staff ensure that CM Kejriwal receives meals prepared at home in accordance with court directives. Currently, Arvind Kejriwal's health is reported to be satisfactory.

Leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, Sanjay Singh, penned a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Thursday, claiming that Tihar Jail has become a 'torture chamber' for Arvind Kejriwal.

Singh's letter hinted at continuous surveillance over Kejriwal by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), likening it to espionage of grand scale. The letter also protested that Kejriwal went 23 days without insulin. He questioned,
