Delhi Police have arrested the accused who attempted sexual assault on an 8-year-old boy and subsequently killed him with a brick. According to Delhi Police, efforts were first made to identify the child, and after a few hours of investigation, it was discovered that the child resided in the Abu Fazal Enclave area.
This led Delhi Police to meticulously check CCTV footage from the child's home to a nearby construction site. In the video, a young man was seen with the victim in a room. This led to the identification and arrest of the suspect, identified as Fida Hussain, a resident of the Jamia area.

Mystery Solved within 24 Hours
Inspector Dinesh Kumar reported receiving a PCR call around 10:58 PM on October 31, stating that a 7-8-year-old's body was discovered at an under-construction site in E Block, Shaheen Bagh. Inspectors Ravinder Singh and team were immediately dispatched to the location, where they found a young boy's body on the first floor of an under-construction building, with blood flowing from his head.
The Crime Team was called to the scene to inspect the area and seize evidence for police records. The case was registered based on the PCR call and GD entry, and Inspector Ravinder Singh was tasked with the investigation.
Multiple Teams Deployed for Investigation
The police analyzed around 80-100 CCTV cameras, revealing a suspicious figure entering the E Block site with the boy. While trying to identify the boy, an extensive search in Abu Fazal Enclave found a missing child. His parents confirmed his identity as A.S.N.R., a resident of Abu Fazal Enclave.
Further CCTV analysis identified the suspect as Fida Hussain from Abu Fazal Enclave, Jamia Nagar. During an extensive interrogation, Hussain confessed that the murder was a result of the attempted assault, claiming to have attacked the boy with a brick when he resisted, rendering him unconscious. The accused has been arrested, and relevant sections of the POCSO Act are being incorporated into the case.
