In the wake of the Pahalgam terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir, the nation mourns and fumes with anger. Former Chief Minister and leader of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Farooq Abdullah, denounced Pakistan for the attack. He firmly stated that dialogue with Pakistan is out of the question, as humanity has been betrayed. India rejected the Two-Nation Theory back in 1947, and it still stands strong against it, emphasizing the unity among Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, and Christians in the country.

What did Farooq Abdullah say?

Speaking to news agency ANI, Farooq Abdullah expressed regret, stating, 'It's unfortunate that our neighbor still doesn't realize the gravity of their actions that have killed humanity. If they understood, we wouldn't need to convince them that we're not moving to Pakistan.'

Rejection of the Two-Nation Theory

He reiterated, 'Why would we have joined them in 1947 if we won't today? We cast aside the Two-Nation Theory back then and refuse to accept it now. Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians— everyone stands united. They think they can weaken us through these acts, but actually, we're becoming stronger, ready to respond effectively.'

Farooq on peace talks with Pakistan?

He addressed Pakistan's call for talks, saying, 'I have always favored dialogue, always wanted talks, but what do we say to the targets, to their families? Should we talk? Would this be justice?'

Time for Strong Action Against Pakistan

Farooq Abdullah emphasized that India no longer desires another Balakot-style strike. Today, India seeks robust measures against Pakistan to prevent the recurrence of such events.
