The Delhi High Court registry has officially announced that judicial work has been withdrawn from Justice Yashwant Verma. This decision follows orders from the Chief Justice of India (CJI), Sanjiv Khanna, conveyed to Delhi High Court Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya.

Earlier reports indicated that Justice Yashwant Verma was slated to lead Division Bench Number-3 for hearings on Monday according to the Delhi High Court cause list. However, it is now clear from the court's announcement that Justice Verma will not participate in the hearings.

However, sources indicate that Justice Verma was out of the city at the time. Photographs emerged showing bundles of charred notes and other debris outside his residence.
