Amid pulsating political currents, Congress leader Rashid Alvi returns fire, condemning the BJP's attack following former Pakistani minister Fawad Chaudhry's praise of Rahul Gandhi. Alvi divulges the pressure exerted on him by the ex-PM Nawaz Sharif and his brother's ruling regime. He charges that Sharif's camaraderie with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi could play into the BJP's hands during the spirited Lok Sabha election campaigning.

Alvi's fiery retort springs from ex-minister Hussain's act of sharing a video on social media highlighting Rahul Gandhi, sparkingly captioned 'Rahul Gandhi on Fire', inciting BJP's sharp critique of the Congress.

Speaking to the news agency, Alvi disclosed, "Fawad Chaudhry couldn't make Imran Khan the Prime Minister. He (Imran Khan) is incarcerated. Now, he speaks of Indian affairs under the influence of Nawaz Sharif and his brother's government," alleged Alvi.

"Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi has excellent connections with Nawaz Sharif. Figures like Manmohan Singh, Rahul Gandhi, or Sonia Gandhi never ventured into Pakistan territory. Those benefitting from Hussain's statement are under pressure,” stated the Congress leader.

In regards to the video shared by Pakistan's ex-minister, it depicted Rahul Gandhi critiquing the BJP government over the guest selection for the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

PM Modi Targets Congress in Electoral Rally

Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that Pakistani leaders are now praying for Congress, eagerly awaiting Rahul Gandhi as the Prime Minister. Addressing a rally in Gujarat's Anand, he remarked, "Observe the coincidence. As Congress wanes in India, Pakistan mourns. Now, Pakistani leaders are fervently praying for Congress. Pakistan is eager to see their 'prince' as Prime Minister. We've already recognized Congress's admiration for Pakistan. This union between Pakistan and Congress has utterly disintegrated," he declared.
