Human trafficking takes a hit as CBI conducts raids in the Keshav Puram area of Delhi since Friday. During the raid, CBI teams rescued two newborns from a house and have saved 7-8 children so far.
The initial investigation points to a syndicate involved in the purchase and sale of newborn babies. Currently, the CBI is interrogating a woman accused of selling the children and the man accused of buying them. Keshav Puram local police were also present on site to support the raids. Sources say that this trafficking ring specialized in stealing newborns from hospitals.
In this serious case of child trafficking, the CBI has rescued 7-8 children and has arrested individuals from Delhi-NCR involved in the buying and selling. The arrested include hospital ward boys as well as several men and women.
