A video from the blood bank of the Panna district hospital in Madhya Pradesh has gone viral on social media. The blood bank employee can be heard making statements about Hindus and Muslims. This video has become a topic of discussion in political circles in the state.

In the video, lab technician Ravikant Sharma is seen asking a young man: 'Is the blood donor Muslim and the recipient Hindu?'

Upon hearing this, the young man questions the technician.

The young man says, 'If the donor is ready to donate blood and the recipient has no objections, what's your problem?'

The technician responds, 'It's a matter of our job.'

Upon investigating the video, we found that it was recorded on June 22. A young man named Suresh Sonkar, from Nardaha in the district, needed blood for his mother and brought a blood donor to the blood bank. The donor was Muslim. When we spoke to Suresh Sonkar, he revealed that the technician mentioned Hindu and Muslim affiliations concerning blood donation. Now, the civil surgeon has issued a notice to the blood bank employee for an explanation.

Son Went to Get Blood for Sick Mother

Attender Suresh Sonkar explained, 'My mother was ill and admitted to the district hospital. The doctor reported a lack of blood and an infection in her kidney. The doctor advised arranging blood. We went to the blood bank but were refused. Later, we brought our Muslim friend, and the staff asked us, who is this?'

The Victim Called the Muslim Youth His Friend

Suresh said that he called him his brother, but the staff member questioned how a Muslim could be his brother. Hindu-Muslim talks occurred. We are laborers with no other financial means. My mother is sometimes better, sometimes worse. However, we haven't filed any complaint regarding this matter.

Blood Bank Staff Investigate Professional Donors: Civil Surgeon

Civil Surgeon Dr. Alok Gupta stated that this incident took place on June 22. The blood bank staff discussed Hindus and Muslims. At that time, the attender called his companion his brother. However, based on the name, the donor was Muslim. The lab technician only questioned how he could call a Muslim his brother.
