The BJP has unveiled its seventh list for the forthcoming parliamentary elections, nominating a candidate for the Amravati seat. The candidate previously served as an independent MP. The seventh list from BJP includes two candidates announced for the parliamentary polls.
From the Amravati (SC) constituency, independent MP Navneet Rana has been awarded a ticket, while in Karnataka's Chitradurga (SC) seat, Ayan Randhir is the nominated candidate.

Who is Navneet Rana?
Navneet Rana is the incumbent independent MP from Amravati. In 2019, she secured a victory over Shiv Sena's Anandrao Adsul as an independent. She has long been an ally of the BJP.
In April 2022, Mumbai police filed an FIR against Navneet Rana. She and her husband were arrested after they gave a warning about reciting the Hanuman Chalisa outside the then Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's residence, leading to allegations of inciting enmity between groups.

BJP Announces a Slate of 407 Candidates
The BJP released its sixth list of three hopefuls on Tuesday for the parliamentary elections. The party has announced candidates for Rajasthan and Manipur's parliamentary seats. Indu Devi Jatav has been presented for the Karauli-Dholpur seat in Rajasthan, and Kanhaiya Lal Meena will be competing from the Dausa Lok Sabha seat against Congress's Murarilal Meena. Additionally, Thounaojam Basant Kumar Singh has been nominated from the Inner Manipur seat.
With the seventh list, BJP has announced a total of 407 candidates so far. The party has cut tickets for 101 MPs. In Maharashtra, the BJP will contest elections in alliance with the Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde. However, discussions regarding seat sharing have not concluded between the two parties. Negotiations on this issue are believed to be underway.
BJP Fields Candidates for Assembly Elections Too
The BJP is contesting the elections in Andhra Pradesh in alliance with the TDP, from which the BJP has been allocated 10 seats. The party has also fielded its candidates for all 10 assembly seats. A by-election is scheduled in Haryana's Karnal seat following the resignation of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. From this seat, CM-designate Nayab Singh Saini will contest in the by-election.
